I'm a newbie with TT XL 30 series 1GB 32MB RAM and I'd like to upgrade it to the best working navcore and newest maps possible for this tomtom.
Someone told me to use the navcore 8.562 SE (wat does SE mean?). Is that right, or is there a better one? I don't understand how to read the mapcharts I found.The only map I need is one that includes The Benelux and France ...

I have a tomtom one xl, which is very old and too slow. I'd like to buy a used tomtom on ebay which is faster than my old one xl.

Does somebody can tell me the list of the lasts tomtoms that can be hacked and on which we can put new maps?

Application : 8.842
Boot : 8.0054
Map : "Europe" v880.3865

It's very old map.

How can I update the carminat? Which files should I download please?

I've got a tomtom V4 with updated maps and navcore and recently installed tomtom home, I can't add POis, its greyed out, any sollution for this?

1.Ran tomtom home and update everything and then Backed up everything.
2.Run fastactivate to patch navcore and home.
3. I Installed Europe 990.8306 onto a sd card.
4. Copied the ttgo.bif to sd card.
5. Ran fastactivate ...

But looking at the chart I can download 990.8306 maps as they are all green ticked for 9510....am I wrong.?

Map - 725.1905 United_States

I tried 990.8367 but it was too large by 11Meg so I started comparing maps listed in meta.txt to the compatibility charts to find an older smaller map with the following results:

990.8367 - too big
985 - no compatible map
980 - no compatible map
975 - no compatible map
970-7491 - Link for Part 2 ...

I've just added a new map to my trusty old TT XL w/1GB capacity running Navcore 8.083. So now I've got two maps (UK & IRE and Eastern Europe loaded) and have successfully run latest version of FastActivate. When I try to switch from UK to the other map, the unit only offers the current,UK map. I've got other maps and previously have been able to successfully switch between these so I am somewhat confused. ...

Is there a way to put Truck on it or to change the menu where i can adjust the measures ?
