I have a tomtom one V1, old I know but always reliable up til now.
When the tomtom starts the GPS lock is in the wrong street, it was ok yesterday! Any ideas how to fix?

hi guys newbie here thanks for this excellent forum, my prob is have the above mentioned tomtom on aus maps and want to put uk map on tried United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 890.4234_Installer but wrong for this device it states, (works on tomtom one) here are my device details

I have a tomtom one.
v3, i think.

I had navcore 8.017 and I downloaded 8.562. I installed map 890.4268, but it didn't work.

I restored the device to its original state (8.017 map 835.2366)

What did I go wrong? Bad links? Can anyone provide one, since many of the links I tried (from this forum) are broken?

Hi. Three days i try to load new map.
My problem is
i buld new sd (init new formatted sd in car TT), copy files from old sd
extract pndnavigator and ~tsystem from navcore_8842.542199.Carminat_TomTom.cab. Put this files on root of new sd
patch pndnavigator with yDGpatch, rename ~tsystem to ttsystem but yDGpatch wont patch, says wrong name or already patched
when a insert new sd to tomtom in car, try to boot and restart(show clock ...

My sat nav was working fine until end of March and I needed to use it last week. I did all the updates via tomtom home and since then I cannot connect to any satellites.

I keep getting awaiting valid gps, or words similar.

It did connect the other day, for about 5 minutes and since then nothing. I occasionally get one or two grey indications but that is all.

I have tried so many ...

I'm moderately experienced & competent at updating 3 different models of Tomtoms.
However I'm seeking advice on updating a friend's unfamiliar model. I suspect the Navcore and map are pretty archaic.
The following summarises the information which is readily available:
