I have a Zumo 660LM and wanted to know how to make my own POI to import into the unit, i have looked around and can't find a guide on how to do it so does anyone have a link showing me what to do or could run through it with me?

Ive been looking at replacing my aging tomtom 510, after seeing my mates nuvi 1310 and sorting his maps out for him i wondered if i should move away from tomtom.

I never realized how old the 1310 was until i started researching it, so decided it might be wiser to go for a newer unit. hence my subject question... The Drivesmart 55 MT-S uk model... would this unit need to be unlocked,.. ...

I didn't realise I was so thick until today, I want to update map on my Nuvi 1240, I believe all I have to do is renew the one .img file that is in the "Garmin" folder on the Micro SD card but for the life of me I cant find any map downloads!! The only links I can find is here:

My Garmin Street Pilot uses a SD card of 1.86 GB. The new map I wanted to install (City Navigator North America NT 2019.30) is 1.99 GB and of course it's too large for the SD card.

Wondering if there is a way to make the gmapsupp.img file just a little smaller & how please?

(Previously installed the older CN North America NT 2018.10-Lower 49 States map successfully as it was just the correct ...

Hello everyone!

I have a nuvi30 and I just accidentally erased the ".\Garmin" folder in its root. Pretty stupid!!!

I know it contained the ".\Garmin\JCV" folder (and its JCV files which I have replaced) and also 1 other small file which I have no idea what it was or does nor how to get it back (forget Recycle Bin).

Could someone help me out?
