I have a gpsmap 720 with formware version 2.5. I see that the latest version is 4.30. I saw that some people were posting about not being able to use unlocked maps after updating firmware and getting an expired maps message. Does this apply to this device as well?

I case anyone else wonders I performed the upgrade and it seems to be working without any issues.

I updated my 7610xsv and my maps expired. Garmin updated their software to prevent the unlocking method that we were all using.
