NAVMAN S50 - problem installing TomTom

Postby Eddie1944 » Sun Oct 27, 2013 2:38 pm

When I try to run Albert's Easy Activator 6.5 I get ttgo.bif and ttnavigator.bif not found, please run from the root of device/card.

This is what I have done so far;
1. Backed up all NAVMAN files
2. Formatted flash memory in the S50 to FAT32
3. Copied all files for TOMTOM Navcore 9.101 for TT ONE to the flash memory
4. Copied the folder containing United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland Maps to the flash memory
5. Tried to run Albert's Easy Activator as the administrator but keep getting the error message above

I am completely new to this - I would be grateful to know where I am going wrong.

TT is not recommended for WinCE devices. You want to stick with iGo.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

OK, so can I install up-to-date maps with iGo? The NAVMAN maps are dated 2008, I would like better maps if possible.

Restore the backup completely!

Then go here...

http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?8018-Run-Tomtom-on-Mio-Moov-and-Navman-S-series-(and-some-F-series)-in-ten-steps

igo primo also runs well on this device.

OK, I have restored the backup. Do I leave the 'old' Navman software installed and install iGo Primo on top of it, or is iGo Primo a fresh install?

Don't touch the original install, just run the unlock, and install TomTom and/or igo to a SD card.

Do exactly as written or you can brick these devices as the usb connection is handled by 3rd party software.
