Re: VW NAVIGON PID V2 Head unit 10R-04 6953

Postby navicon » Wed Mar 11, 2026 4:27 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a Volkswagen Maps & More navigation device based on Navigon (Navigon 70/71 Premium, 4GB version). Unfortunately, the NAVIGON folder on my device was accidentally deleted.

Now when I start the device I get the error:

"Could not load WolfSpecial.dll or WolfSpecialAPI.dll (error 126)"

It seems that the original Volkswagen files are missing, especially:

WolfSpecial.dll

WolfSpecialAPI.dll

Navigon.exe

ApplicationSettings.xml
and the other original files from the NAVIGON folder.

Would someone be kind enough to share the complete original backup or the required files for the Volkswagen Maps & More / Navigon 70-71 Premium system?

Need full backup for SEAT Garmin/Navigon 10R-04 6953 / 4NSF

Postby NicoWisko » Sun May 10, 2026 1:33 pm

Hello,

I need help with a Garmin/Navigon 10R-04 6953 / 4NSF from a SEAT Ibiza.

The device is detected by Windows as NAVIGON, but the internal memory is completely empty. It only shows the bootloader screen and then the message: “Garmin Software cannot be started. Contact the Garmin Service Center.”

I am looking for a full working backup for this model, or PIDv2_FlashRepair.zip if someone still has it.

Could anyone please re-upload the files or send me a working link?

Thank you very much.

I think i need software for VW eUp (if u have such) and PIDv2_FlashRepair to repair my Garmin. It's currently stuck rebooting and showing only VW logo with versions of software, BT and so. Also Garmin isn't detected by Windows, when I plug it with USB cable

That's too bad.

Can't update from SD card. I think bootloop is even before the SD initialisation. Used different SD cards (2, 4, 8, 16, 32GB, all formatted to FAT32) and UpdateMe.exe file is still on SD card. I think for now the only possible way is recover using GarminCure3 and gcd or rgn file. But i dont know where to find them. Or maybe my 4NSF is completely bricked by itself...

This is a remedy for Garmin devices. Do you have Navigon. The 2Gb SD card needs to be formatted with Fat16.It seems you have little idea what and how you need to do
