There are always the same new postings and threads when new maps come out,
I assume some of you know what I mean...
You have a question like:
I can't use the new map...
I get an error with the new map...
I can't select the new map...
Or simply: Not working...

In another attempt to reduce those useless postings, I will provide a set of info that will make life easier for you and ...

I noticed that lately there are more and questions in regards to the different TT APK's as well as complaints based on mixing APK's with map releases from other postings.
So it is time to give some clearity on the matter...


1. All TT APK's with the same version number are totally identical, except for the country name in the menu (and program) and the device ID.
2. The differences in size for some APK's ...

Definitions for Dummies

application....................commonly refered to as navcore or App or OS
ALG............................Advanced Lane Guidance, pictorial representation of major junctions
ASR.............................Address Speech Recognition ( aka voice input navigation )
blowfish code................this is the alpha numeric code that forms the meta text
BT..............................bluetooth, data transfer technology linking multiple devices for info sharing
CAB.............................file downloaded from TomTom containing all basic system file for specific devices
cracking.......................process by which, maps can be used with 'patched' navcore
cspeech.......................files used ...

I get many questions from members who want to be able to use single program content for other iGO programs so that they can save space. Here are the sys.txt entries to make to accomplish that. You want to put those entries in the other iGO programs. Notice that the content in this example is situated in the iGO8 program. Igo8 uses Loquendo voices so you would delete that bold entry to use in Primo ...

Here again my installer, this time with the 9.510 NC.
Included in the installer are the following versions:
1. just the patched CAB - for all of you that just want the new Navcore on a compatible device - no emulations offered!
2. for GO models with 64mb of Ram - all GO emulations included
3. for 32mb devices - can't promise the memory boost will work as expected since TT used a new kernel ...

Even though we provide the tutorials and map charts it seems to be hard for noobs to determine what to choose.
I will now try to explain the right way:

1. The best Navcore is always what Home offers as latest official update!
All other Navcores can work but there are no guarantees!
2. We always provide the latest maps in our red stickies, so instead of asking simply check the dates of the postings ...

I created another installer, this time for the above Navcore.
Even though some might complain about the big download, I say it is easier to have all versions at hand.
If the selected version does not work for you select a different one from the installer.
