i was just curious when i tether my gpsmap 60 64 to my laptop , the pc does not recognize anything is connected ... i tether my nuvi 1490 with no troubles...
also could i delete the base map of it and run a topo map as base map i have a few different topo maps i would like to run

i have a Garmin Nuvi 300. downloaded map Europe 2012.30
the unlocked one. use a cracked mapInstall

i am able to put on the maps on a SD card and run it in the Garmin. problem is.
when i install the complete map. it will not work. it does not see the maps.
when i install allot of the area. it wil work but bot correctly. i keep getting the question which province? and ...

Hi guys.

I got two Zumo 550. I've loaded them with the exact same map, Sweden/Norway/Finland 2012.30. Still if I have them next to each other, one of them is more detailed and you can see the names of the streets as you go along. See pictures.

I've configured them exactly the same.

Can it be the basemap that's the difference?

As a newbee to this community Im posting my first post! :usa:

I have had a Garmin for a while, but always been satisfied with downloading the unlocked maps and just copy/paste them into my former unit. (Nüvi 310)

But now since I've gotten my Zumo 550 I've become more interested in how it works and so on.

So my question is, when new maps ...

I have a 2360LT that shipped with Australia and New Zealand maps. I'd like to replace them with the latest North American maps (Canada, Alaska, Lower 49 states). As of now, with the Australia/NZ maps, there is about 1GB of free space left on the internal storage.

I'm considering removing the Australia/NZ maps but found that .img file for those maps in .System is only around 200+MB meaning with that removed I would still not ...

I uploaded (using MapSource) the Topo Australia V3 Map to my GPSMAP 60cx device and it all working apart from the Find Address functionality. It never can find a street etc. But if I search for a city it immediately suggests me a list of city. It seems that the find functionality for addresses is broken. Hi, I used to have a TomTom Go630 where I had added a patched map with the SD card. Now I have a nuvi 1390LMT with pre-installed North America map, and I am wondering if I can add a Europe map using the microSD slot?

I tried to install Garmin XT 5.52 on my "Storage Card", using the following link "http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?7763-Garmin-XT-5.52-(Garmin-Asus-M10)-for-WINCE-6-(800x480)&highlight=Garmin".

When i get to step 3. Run_CE5.exe ---->for winCE5 in FileManCE nothing happens and my Navman makes bell sounds. It sounds like the program has crashed.

Can you please run through the steps necessary to install Garmin XT 5.52 on my "Storage Card" on a Navman S200.

hi there i have 2 nuvi 785 and a 1450 ,i have sucseeded in unlocking the map for nuvi 785 but not sucseeded for 1450, any help would be great thanks andrew
