I´m kind of new in Patching new maps to Garmin and I need your help.

I want to update my Nuvi 300 maps (I have TomTom also and its easy) but I search here and there is to many programs and I don´t know what to use.

Can anyone tell me what programs and what do I need to do to update these Nuvi 300?

If it helps, I need Portugal maps.

I've a Nuvi 1310T, I've saved some locations in "Favorites" like anyone does but sometimes I found a specific locations duplicated by the same name and coordinates followed by 1 like:

"My Place 1"
"My Place"

I normally edit and delete this duplicated location from "Favorites" but after one or two days I discover that it is displayed once again.

Does anybody know what's wrong with this issue?

Fastest, shortest or less fuel is the best in navigation for Garmin Nuvis?

And what about "less fuel"? Is it a combination between "fastest" and "shortest"?

trying to update a nuvi 660fm with a 2 gig internal memory, wanting to put cn europe 2012 -2.16 gig on it so going to use an SD card

Most maps found here under new maps contain locked and unlocked versions of it. As I believe it's easy to use the Unlocked version straight away. But, is there an advantage of using a Locked version of the map? I red in a forum that Locked version has more features.. Please confirm the advantage of using a Locked version over an Unlocked one. - Cheers!
