hi, this forum has kept me fascinated for 3 hours since stumbling across it. garmin offer their us customers a $200 rebate for purchasing both chart and chartplotter but discriminate against its uk customers.
i am hoping a solution here will solve my dilemma as to which chartplotter to purchase.
p.s. i notice that all the prior downloads on this subject are either removed or impounded!

Hi , I have a nuvi 260, has north america on internal drive , trying to put europe on SD card.
I create New folder garmin on card and put the europe img map in there, but when i put it in the device u, it is not reconized, any help please

I live in Spain and tow a caravan. I want to import maps into Mapsource/Basecamp so I can plan a route and download to my GPS. Using satnav normally sends you down some very strange roads !!

Does this upgrade the camera's and any other required info also?

What must be used to update my Nuvi 1490 with new maps, i usualy use Garmin-MapSource and Jetmouse to generate and install new maps, but those maps dosnt work with this model. Unlocked maps downloaded from here kan be used and works ok but i want to generate a smaller map to use instead, because the need of space on the nuvi!!

What do I do with the GMAPPROM.IMG after I down load it as I have tried everything to get it working, it has beaten me im afraid, nothing recognises it.

Firstly I do apologize if this was already asked before.

I have Nuvi 205 and it only has the "ding" sound for alerts.

Is it possible to change this to something like a voice alert and if possible could somebody please direct me to where I might find instructions on how to do this and some alerts to download.
