Thank you. Can any moderators confirm if this is real or one of the fake versions (with this version number) going round?

Well, can't say if fake or not but it certainly seems to runs through the menus quicker, load quicker, calculate routes and run smoother whilst travelling. All just fractional but quicker never the less

where can we find the copy "Another version I have is copyright 2004-2012 9.35Mb Date modified 5th/7/2012". Does anyone has problem with the IGO interface. Search for SS3/55 can only keyin SS3 then display about 50 listing of SS3/1 to SS3/50. Does not allow you to keyin "/55". Tom Tom seem to have this problem also. May have miss some instructions. Does anyone has same problem? It also require you to select area "Petaling Jaya" can't search for whole Malaysia

Thanks for your help

It's sometimes not a matter of "fake" or not (fake being deliberately edited by somebody to show bogus information), but whether there is any real difference in releases with different numbers.
See here:
A-quick-note-about-Primo-2 versions
So far, no...there is no operational difference between any Primo2 version that begins with "9.6.5.....". Most are merely custom builds for particular manufacturers. One exception are those where certain features have been removed or the EXE specially compressed...these may appear to load somewhat faster, but it's still the same navigation engine.

Also be aware...as has been warned by Nabi here and elsewhere...if you are the type that instantly downloads and runs any EXE that has higher numbers than yours, malware and virus writers love you...an easy target.
Has it happened yet? Not that I know of. Will it never happen? Never say never.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

There seems to be some doubt with this program. I suggest that you look at Yurbuh Tuggly's signature for Primo2 and download that one instead. Just a suggestion.

You're very welcome Nathan. But instead of making a thanks post, just press the "thanks" button on the bottom left of that person's post.

Please I need some help:scratch_one-s_head_ I am using this version 9.6.5.245577 on a Chinese pna 480 x 272 and on my D/Din unit in my car 480 x 234 and have the same problem on both. If i select a 3D car from the list, it appears fine on the screen and works with the navigation, but, when I shutdown and start up again, the loading bar moves along the start up screen and then comes up with an error. Failed to open file: car\Rio_RED.zip\rio_white.mdl exiting application. This happens with all the cars that came with the download. If I start again, I keep getting this message and the only way to start successfully is to delete the SAVE folder. On a rare occasion, it will restart using the navigation arrow. Is there any way to resolve this or am I just stuck with the boring arrow?

May depend where you got it from. Some distributions have been 'modified' (as in how Dr. Frankenstein would do), and may always act flaky.
EddieKruger wrote:Is there any way to resolve this or am I just stuck with the boring arrow?

Maybe...or get a better, tested, known working and supported version.
All car/vehicle arrows cursors work with my distribution. Along with everything else how it should work.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

I just took all the cars from an earlier version of Primo and all is working okay. Maybe some of the files were corrupted during the download:clap:
