greetings friend if you can help. I got garmin drivesmart 50 lm and with it city navigator sotherm europe maps where there are no balkan maps where i live and where i would travel. if you can help how to insert maps on my device. thanks

Look inside your garmindevice.xml to confirm your HWID is 2267
<PartNumber>006-B2267-00</PartNumber>

Does not need to be Patched to use unlocked maps

The thread you posted in is about unlocking Garmin .img files this thread is about Patching devices to use unlocked maps,unfortunatly yours cannot be patched.
For a few years newer device's firmware could be patched (determined by their HWID) to use unlocked maps, since the DriveSmart 65 the firmware has been encrypted on these later devices.
Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,53,55,65,66,71,76,86, zumo XT ,zumo XT2, Alpha 200i, Montana 700 ,GPSMAP 67 & 67i are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new encrypted format.

First confirm your HWID is 2587 by looking in your garmindevice.xml
