I have this installed and an unlocked map but it runs very very slow it can take upto 5 mins to boot up and is very unresponsive when it does load anyone have a fix for this.

Which version did you take?
Which maps do you use?
What else do you have on your device (e.g. POI)?
Without any further information we can't give a diagnosis.

thanks for the reply it is version 50020 the map is Garmin City Navigator UK and IRELAND ONLY NT 2010.1 UNLOCKED

I also have various IGO software in the sd card

I think try to change MortScript it may be better

Don't expect from Garmin XT developed for WM to work well on WIN CE devices, cause Garmin XT never developed for Win CE, it's only modified version of WM, which karagiosis modified tow work on Win CE devices, but at all it doesn't work well and don't work all functions of GXT.

And your device is low quality with low cpu, and low RAM, buy device with better cpu 600-800 mhz and 128-256 MB RAM, and GXT will run better, but like i explained, it's not originally developed for Win CE, and never will for like on WM and SYmbian, Linux, etc.

Sorry but I have to take a little exception to what you're saying. Mobile XT might not work 100% on all devices but it does on my Mio C320. This is the thread if you want to try it - use depositfiles

Chas you didn't understand point of my message, it was message that will not work WELL on all device, this doesn't mean that will not work at all on most of wince pna devices, but there is question how it will work :) , 50%, 70%, or 100% functions of GXT WM :) , most of functions of GXT WM doesn't work on wince, it has manny bugs, and i will not believe ever to GXT WM on WinCE PNA on road ;) , cause originally it wasn't developed for WinCE.

I know for that version, i made by myself 2-3 version, did modifications to work well on 320x240, 480x272 and 800x480, but like i told above, never will work all functions like on Garmin items, and GXT on WM, things like 3D, JVC, G2S, etc etc. , but who likes can use it, if for his area no better map, than Garmin, and who doesn't have high reuqest likem 3D, JVC, TMC, G2S, etc etc.

Probably now you'll understand better what i want to say, to other people who expect too much for GXT for WinCE :) , you old guru :p

Where can I get the full maps for this. I have a 8" din china made and need garmin to be run on it.

You can use most of the City Navigator maps and some other maps too from New Maps section. Most easiest to handle are unlocked Image versions but pay attention that the image isn't bigger than 2GB.

Can u also please help me to get a decent working version of garmin xt to run on wince 6.0. I have a storage card in my china din for my crv and have igo primo. But want to use garmin since its excellent. Please provide me the links where I can download as a package

Hi everybody, I have a chinese 7" multimedia device with WinCE 6 on my truck, as it came with IGO and has no maps for my country I successfully installed Garmin and Navitel, also had IGO running too. But then someone told me about MioPocket thing, I was curious because it really looks nice so I downloaded and installed. After that Garmin never started again....I uninstalled MioPocket and still Garmin didn´t run, I had a back up of my microSD card but still didn´t work. When you push on Garmin button on screen it goes black for about 3 or 4 seconds and goes back to main menu without showing any error message. I just tried artful wince 6 version and does exactly the same thing. The weird thing is that IGO and Navitel always worked fine.
Have anyone had this same problem? Any help will be welcome :)

i have the same issue ... 7 inch china unit sirf chip 128meg ram ... i had garmin running befor i installed miopocket 4 and now no garmin running .. any one know of a fix. mio runs great and so does igo and rout66 but i rilly want garmin for backroad mapps .. please help ... lost of people have this issue and i dont see no fixes

Did you ever solve your problem with Garmin XT? Also, how did you do it? Others need to know.

You probably still have registry entries for MioPocket on your device. Delete them.

ok i dont want to get rid of mio pocket iv alredy tryed that method . it didnt help much plus i kinda like it for its options i want to find a way to run garmin with it .. it sems no one has any idea how to . iv tryed difrent versions of both miopocket and garmin mobile xt but the most i get is a reboot of mio. ps i did have it running perfict befor mio was installed iv trred to dellet the garmin folder off wince it self but it just keeps coming back .. witch i belive is the original install? idk but if there is a way to re install then maybe it would re write theas files .. i read somewere that mio redirects some stufffile directorys when its installed so i fig a reinstall of garmin is in order if any one knows how to do that it may help cus so fare iv had no luck. posibuly thrue mio from a .cab.. help ..

I don't use MioPocket because it is way too bloated for me. Plus it also write entries to the device's registry which affects operation. I use a SD-Free unlock.
