Picked up a Nuvi 58 but it has a non standard boot logo.

Can anyone help with changing it back to the std Garmin one please?

I can help with that but first i need to get you to make a copy of the device's logo region. The link following is for a 'dump kit' to be used on a CLEAN small microSD card, no larger than 32GB and formatted in FAT32 only. [Please Register or Login to download file] .

Procedure:

• Ensure the device is completely OFF, not just in standby
• Insert the card with only the extracted "Garmin" folder and its subfolders on it
• If the nuvi isn't fully charged or has a weak battery, connect it to a power source such as the Garmin car charger (not to a computer USB port)
• Power it on if using it on battery only
• "Loader" or similar wording should appear on the screen after the splash image
• Wait for it to finish the region dump, indicated by it re-booting normally to the navigation home screen
• Remove the media card and examine the content, there should be 2 new BIN files in the root of the card named 154.bin and 16.bin

The file 154.bin is a copy of the device's non-volatile memory, keep a copy of it in a safe place in case it's needed in the future. The other file named 16.bin is the one i need to examine so please upload it to a host site and supply the link.

Not blocked - the Limewire site let me create an account. Anyway, the file.kiwi link works thanks and i've modified your logo BIN to now contain the standard Garmin black-background image which is what i think you're wanting.
