Just spent a fair bit of time trying to put tomtom navigator on to a Route 66 Chicago satnav. It is ce5. Attempted file renaming and / or including a shell, without success. Before I waste any more hours has anyone had success in doing this.
I have noted that some old information that may have helped is no longer available

Have got a problem with my TT XL (Classic). Power led comes on when USB lead connected. Have checked the SD card and also replaced the SD card, just in-case. Have replaced the battery with a known good one. Does anybody have an idea as to why it won't switch on? It was working fine until 2 weeks ago.

I have downloaded a USA map 9707491, but FastActivate does not work. The programm starts but quickly disappears without showing the menu options.
Who can help me with this problem?

Hi I have an XXl Classic running UK and Ireland V915.5074 and want a USA map for an upcoming holiday.

I refered to the compatability chart and think I can run 985.8213, so I download and install the patcher.

I boot and get the ' Map cannot be used on this device" warning. How frustrating!

Where did I go wrong? Which map should I download? Any advice?

Yes I know, "don't ask for metacodes". So I 'm not asking for codes.
What I do'nt understand is; how can someone upload a map without having a metacode? He/she must have bought it first to have the map in the first place?
And since a map without code is usesless, why upload it?

I am losing my mind downloading different maps and navcores. .. So I have TT One XL 30 series v9 w/NO sd card slot.
NC 8.083 ( 9669/090817 ) : Boot Loader 5.5136 and have map USA and Canada 875.3675 in it..Yes it hasn't been updated in quite a while.
