Change MapSource's gmap mapset name?

Postby pepelu » Wed May 11, 2011 10:21 am

Hi to all!

I know MapSetToolkit is able to change 'old-style' MapSource's mapset names, but for gmap mapset MapSetToolkit says that this function is not implemented yet...

Now my question: Is there any simple way to do this avoiding a full extensive MapReverseConverter plus MapConverter procedure?

Thanks

so far as I know there is no difference between the handling of mapset names of old and new format.
The name till is "stored in the TBD file (it's in the Product1 folder) and is changeable with a tool like TBDchanger ([Please Register or Login to download file] )

Good luck

Thanks for your info but your link doesn't work...

I found this link:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

I think is the same program.

I'll give it a look and I'll come back to tell

Edit:

Bad news :( TDBChanger can't see gmaps only Family_XXX type (old-style). Any help to rename for instance City NAvigator Europe 2012.10 To CNE 2012.10 in Mapsource without downgrade to old style and then reUpgrade to gmap?

Finally I found a piece of Software which can change not only old-MapSource Maps but new MapSource/Basecamp one. It is called JaVaWa GMTK and you can reach @ [Please Register or Login to download file] .

This program allows to clear Basecamp/MapSource cache for those corrupted images and many, many other things.
