Yes, Harman Kardon uses the Becker iGO builds.
So, new maps you will find here, but there is no guarantee the new maps will be recognized. It depends on the license.
So what you need to do first is backup everything.

When your license is not valid, you need a new license and a new iGO (preferably Becker build) as well. Look here

I think on the harman/kardon gps200 is a "light" version igo 2006 running.
For this version the last maps are datet 2007.
But it is possible to run iGO8 or Primo (without TTS) on this unit.

Does it goes that easily ?

OK, it is easy (for me)
1. Make a reset (with the paperclip) and hold the "Power" Button for about 15 sec. Now you are in the "Service Menue" Tab on "update from PC" and in the next window "OK". Connect the Unit by USB to the PC.
Look for the folder "nav". Copy this folder to a save place on your PC (backup).

Rename the folder "nav" in the resident flash to "nav2" and make a new folder "nav". To this folder copy the igo8 program and rename the "igo8.exe" to "navngo.exe". Go to the "nav2" folder and copy the TMCModule.dll and TMCPlatform.dll to the new "nav" folder. Then write a sys.txt with this lines:

[SPOILER="sys.txt"]
sdcardpath="\\SDMMC\\"

[device]
type="harman51o"

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=480
screen_y=272
driver="GDI"

[debug]
skip_eula=1

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
defaulttilt3d=7600
vga=0

[map]
3d_max_tiltlevel=10000
3d_max_zoomlevel=3000
3d_min_zoomlevel=40
3d_max_zfar=2000
2dheadup=1
stop_rotate_on_map_move=1
inertia_on_map_move=1

[poi]
enable_pois_before_080217=1

[roundaboutcam]
enabled=0
centery=50

[smartzoom]
minangle=0
maxangle=80

[tmc]
source="harman"
port=""COM,0"

[sound]
ding=0
[/spoiler]
Now make on the SD-Card a folder "igo". To this folder copy the folder "content". Now you can copy the maps, pois, buildings and so on to this folders. But, it is importend that the languages files and the voices are in the "content" folder on the resident flash.

Test this new installation and it is all OK and you need to use only the new igo, you can delete the folder "nav2"(but careful).
I hope this will help you...

Good luck

Igo 8.3 is better. For the maps, depends upon your location. TA in Europe or Navteq in NA.

EDIT: Can you post your device's specifications please?

My gps is an Harman kardon 300 actually
All I found about it is actually :

CPU: Noyau 324 MHz ARM9
Mémoire RAM: 64MB

Screen: WQVGA 4" 65 000 couleurs, 480 x 272 pixels
Flash memory : GPS-300: 2GB

You think it's gonna work with the 8.3 and the 3D buildings?

8.3.

Get it running then load the building files one at a time to see if it crashes.

Follow Nabi's advice in post #2. Becker build for iGO 8.3 can be found in in his link in the iGO 8.3 red sticky. Also follow NorbertBL's advice in post #5. I recommend that you forget the buildings because they only cause error messages and only appear in major cities only.

Ok, what to do with the old maps on the device and which put the igo8? Sys.txt should make a new document or overwrite the old? My device is GPS-810.
Thank you very much

You should ALWAYS make a backup first so the old situation can be restored if needed.
What is the use of the old maps once you made the back up and installed the new iGO? They take up space. That is it. Delete them as well as the old sys.txt. Then search for new maps here. (http://www.navitotal.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?82-Maps-buildings-dem-POI)
