Hi Radeko,

I have a 810 too.
It is a very nice GPS device.
It uses a skinned iGO 2006 NavApp.
My maps are very outdated.
I tried new maps, but I could not find new maps which are compatible with this HK version of iGO 2006.
I tried to run other software, iGO8, Amigo, Primo .....

The Harman Kardon GPS 810 uses a security method witch prevents you to run other software.
The 810 was their top device and they were very protective with it.

Go to the product details site:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

Go to the "Support" tab and click on "/Product updates".
Download the "GPS-810NA_Ssoftware_Upgrade.zip" package.
UnRAR the package and you have "GPS-810NAupgrade.exe"
Open this file with WinRAR and browse to the Nav folder.
Now you see that all exe and dll files have a sig file (signature file).
The WindowsCE Shell is constructed that all executables and/or DLL files need a corresponding sig. Otherwise they will not (are not allowed to) start.
I have not been able to override this check.
I did try to alter the DATA.ZIP to end the software to get to the WinCE Shell but that did not work.
If I alter the DATA.ZIP too much the software won't work either.
The other thing I wanted to try is to launch software from within the main NavApp.
I haven't succeded in this.
A few months ago I stopped trying because I purchased another PNA.
Seeing this thread I think I can give it another try.
It is worth it.

i18n/hlp_settinggps.xhtml is part of the language file. So download another language file and replace yours.
However, it's (if I am not wrong) a help file and doesn't influence the working of iGO.

The auto search for GPS works not on the harman/kardon units.
Use this lines in the sys.txt for GPS and TMC Port:
[gps]
port=7
baud=9600

[tmc]
source="harman"
port="COM,0"
