Can Update a Tomtom IQ ROUTES?

Postby Kemys » Wed Apr 09, 2025 8:39 pm

Hello everyone, I've been a user of this forum for several years now! I haven't been here much lately... and I'm a bit out of date. I have a Tomtom IQ Routes with 64MB of RAM. Is there a way to install the most up-to-date maps on this device? Tomtom doesn't even make maps for this model anymore. Thanks

7 simple steps to update your device with the latest map
To update your device with the latest map, follow these simple steps:

1) VERY IMPORTANT: Connect your device to your computer via USB. Using Windows Explorer, open your TomTom drive and backup the complete contents of your TomTom.

2) Check your navcore version. You can do this either on the device menu under Version Info, or you can check the navcore version in TomTom Home when the device is connected to your computer, or by opening the ttgo.bif file with notepad.
Try to find Navcore 9.510, which work on most devices, it's always possible to install another

3) Check which map is compatible with your navcore using the latest compatibility, found on most forums

4) Get the map which fits you best and which also fits on your device
Delete the old map folder

5) Extract the map using WinRaR or similar.
Copy across the new map folder into the root of the device.
Make sure when you open the map folder it only contains the map files, not another folder within a folder.

6) Download the latest version of FastActivate from the FastActivate thread:
Extract the file and copy across FastActivate.exe to the TomTom drive (the root of the device).

7) Run FastActivate.exe from the TomTom drive, clicking on the first 3 options in order, waiting for each to complete:
Update meta, patch maps, patch navcore.

Hello, I finally found the GPS, I had it so well organized that it was difficult to find it.

Yes, I updated it through this forum for several years.
But since the Navcore is 9.541 I thought they no longer made maps. TomTom itself stopped making maps for this model. That's when I stopped using it.

So, what maps can I put?
I've been searching through the forum but now it's different from before.

Here is the GPS data:

TomTom One IQ Routes Edition
Navcore 9.541.314..
OS 1493118
GPS V1.20
Boot 5.5136
Map 1030.9519 (Iberia) instaled.

I would appreciate your help then please.
Thnaks

Hello,

Unfortunately my servers are no longer working but I see that maps are also offered for download here, so that should not be a problem.
I do not see anywhere a compatible chart of which maps would be suitable for your system.
If all goes well you can use both maps from nnav2 and nav3 and then you will end up with version 1150_12717,12718,12719,12720 or nav3 1150_ 12726,12727.12728,12729
These maps have all the options that are possible, such as IQROUTES, ASR, CSPEECH,HNR AND TTS/VOCALISER.

If you cannot find something, I can make a specific file available via Wetransfer, in that case please contact me via [email protected]
