I've been at this for a couple of days now and I know I'm close but I must be doing something wrong. I have an old TomTom live and want to install truck maps on it. It has the 12.075 navcore on it and it's a Nav3 device.

I've used the TTactivator to install the patch, upload meta to device and reboot. Then i installed the maos to a drive because the device doesn't have enough storage. I used R-link 1.4.1 for this.
I have used 2 8gb cards and both resulted in a No maps found error. I thought this was probably down to the cars being slow class 4 cards. I then used a 32GB class 10 card as they're faster. what happens now is that sometimes I don't get the /common/installed folder in R-link even though the card was formatted using the device. the odd time when i do get the folder the transfer stops after about 2 seconds.

where am i going wrong?

This is what was orignally on the device. Also, can the Navcore be upgraded to Navcore 4 or is that down to hardware?
