Goodbye Navigon

Image

"NAVIGON has made for movement in navigation for over 25 years and has given so many people greater orientation and less stress in everyday life and on the road.
For strategic reasons, however, Garmin has decided to take all navigation apps – with a few exceptions – off the market as of May 14th, 2018. For existing NAVIGON users, this means little change, since you can continue using your app or device as usual. You will find more information in the following and in our Support Center.
Our thanks to all our users for their many years of loyalty and support. And also to all Cruiser bikers for an exciting last year!
We wish you the very best of enjoyable travel in the future!
Your NAVIGON Team"

Is there any possibility of using another map application in a navigon now when they end up with updates?

First, start to tell us which model you're talking about.

I don,t know if it works but you can always,s give it a try.

Download
Igo_Primo 2.0 for Navigon_480_272_SDMMC
[Please Register or Login to download file]
and unpack with winrar. e.g.

Place the files and folder on an empty micro sd card.

Place the sd card in the Navigon and start the device.

Hopefully, it starts and you see a screen with an Igo Icon.

Click on the icon and hopefully Igo Primo start.

If it starts maybe you see an icon with GXBeginDraw.

Click on oke.

Then the startup goes,s further be patient it takes a while.

Tell us if you see the primo screen.

In the root of your micro sd card do you have a file
with the name UpdateMe as an NFRUN file.
If so you can open this file with notepad.
What is the command in it
e.g. Run "\sdmmc\Navigon\Navigon.exe"
