I don't have a G430 ROM, and flashing a ROM for the X430 probably won't work.

Try using a mortscript to kill "JBSHello.exe"

Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:00 pm

managed to kill JBSHello.exe and run control.exe, screen still just clicks and no recognition, so either drivers are corrupt or digitiser faulty. are there any roms around for this or later unit around so i can try reflash? or is there anything else i can try? have noticed its a 2nd edition x350 so dont know if this makes any difference reguarding roms

It could well be a faulty digitiser.

There doesn't seem to be a lot you can do with it in it's current state, a ROM flash would be my next move, I have some x-series roms I can upload tomorrow for you.

hiya, sorry, not been home for a while, if you could upload the x-series roms that would be great, just point me in direction where they are at and will give them a go and see what happens, cheers

2 Roms, Binatone and Voxtel version

Sat Apr 27, 2013 9:04 am

ok, heres a wierd one, 1st image gets to 99% and stops, 2nd image loads but on reboot at end is in russian (i think) and is upside down, back to front and inverted colours, dont get any screen tap sounds or usb connection whereas i did before, last one (voxtel) gets to 79% and stops. on those that stop i waited for around 20 mins but still didnt go any further, also tried different sd card

I'll upload the x430 roms later, you may be able to mix and match images to get something working...

You should be able to change from Russian to English in the menu, if the screen digitiser works...

Installed iGO 8 and works fine on my G350 trying out Primo 2.0. which installed and starts ok but cant find any satellites.
The com is 7 and the baud rate is 57600. Any Ideas on the problem ?

Does it see the GPS hardware?

Sat May 04, 2013 1:51 pm

Unsure how to check if it sees the hardware ( I an not getting any error messages.)

Does it say "Autodetecting GPS device" or "Looking for satellites" on the main map screen?

@fatboyfun

been playing around with mix n match of 350 roms to try and get x350 back to life, got to stage of mix of x350 and b350 language in english, digitiser works, screen image upside down, colours and screen image reversed. digitiser touch screen taps register (touch screen at center bottom and ok registers touch but at top where the ok is).
voxtel 353 (SW 353_ 201008) gets to 79% and stops, cant try anything else with it as files are different from other 350/430 roms.
did try a c350 rom image just to see what happens and it loaded, re-booted, status bar that showed loading after re-boot went completely across and then froze there but image/screen was right way up and colours correct.
would like to try mix n match with voxtel 453 roms, if you have please, and any other 350/430 roms.

just remembered, on one reflash i tried got message(cant remember what mix) "application jbshello.exe encountered serious error and must be shut down" screen display was correct way up and only colours were reversed and also gained access to unit via usb which i couldnt before, can anything be done via registry on this flash as i have access?
