Wince6 PNA Settings gets reset after restart

Mon Nov 05, 2012 7:33 am

Hello

I have Wince6 Chinese PNA .. the problem is when I restart the PNA, I have to do the whole setting again. Also it delete the desktop shortcuts i have created. Also the System Sound gets to the original position after restart.. is there any Setting file which I can make Read only and then i don't have to correct the Setting every time?

regards

Sounds like the device doesn't have a persistent registry, a mortscript can make most of the changes at boot time.

Any solution on this?.. I increase the volume in Control panel and after restart it is back to low.
How to fix it? Its like C: gets reset automatically back to factory reset after restart.

Was it like that before? And how do you power on and off?

Also, when powering on, connected to a charger cable? Then disconnected? Then it could mean your battery has died and a (soft) reset is performed each time.

Yes.. Since day one. When I am in Wince Mode (Start button) then when I press power button then screen goes off.. that is not switch off.. when i press power key it comes back to live.

But to switch off when I press the button long or Press the button long in PNA mode then it gives three optuions Sleep, Power off and one more.

when I say power off it gets switch off and then when I switch on, the whole thing gets reset. thats my problem.

Not exactly.. even if the battery is full and I perform restart the whole thing get reset.. If I keep a Image file on Residen Flash also it gets deleted. After every restart the ResidentFlash becomes Brand New.

If your resident flash gets reset try putting the script on a sd card, once set up, running the script would set volume, desktop icons etc in one go. It might not be possible to do it automatically at boot though.
