Im pretty new in the forum. So please dont flame me :-) I have three questions, where do I put the maps and what names should I give the files?
Do I need to first patch my the device?

There was no patched firmware for it and there is none.

So the filename "VEU711L.img" will work?

I have now tried to update the device and it didnt work.
I extraced the garmin folder from "Официальная" to my sdcard. Then I plugged it in and started the devices, it did not update the firmware?!
I also tried to load the new maps (garmin\VEU711L.img and garmin\VEU711A.img) but it said it wasn't able to unlock the maps... :-(

What firmware is currently installed?
Maybe you are trying to flash the same firmware?

There SD should be a folder Garmin with a folderu updates and a file GUPDATE.GCD in it.
Turn on the chartplotter, insert it SD, select update

The cards are being recorded SD\Garmin
garmin\VEU711L.img must be unlocked
