Hi guys. I have a newly acquired GPSMAP 923xsv. It won't accept my Bluechart G2 card from Garmin. Apparently it can't authenticate it. Is this something that can be unlocked? I tried looking if my device is listed in the list, but that link is no longer active on the #1 post. Thanks in advance.

You have 13.30 firmware on the UHD so the patched firmware (14.20) installs in normal way. But here's instructions for Forced Update, so users with newer firmware can downgrade/roll-back:

I will also copy/paste the part regarding 7-12" Plus/UHD/Ultra:

Code: Select all
ECHOMAP Plus 7x, 9x, UHD, Ultra series

To perform a forced update:

        Turn the device Off
        Insert the software update card
        Hold the Power button and number 4 button
        Release the Power button when the Garmin logo appears
        Release the number 4 button when Recovery Loader Ready appears

The device will now install the software update.

MSV: Weak - it verifies the validity of map signatures in a simple way, you can unlock an .img using gimgunlock-0.04 (without patching your firmware), but in case of unicode maps (CP65001) you must modify the CP value

Hello,
On my gpsmap 65s I patched the firmware twice, once with Firmware Patcher 3.80 (to read JNX) and a second time with IMG Patcher (to unlock maps) because the new models are protected against pirated maps. Even Gimgunlock 0.04 is not enough to unlock these maps.

gimgunlock-0.04_MapSigPatch is doing what it is meant to do
Your Firmware is the problem ,these 2 Patcher programs modify different parts of the Firmware, IMG Checks & JNX loader. did you try the combined Patch supplied previously ?

The system works great to read all maps on my 65s. And it is not a problem to share the firmware twice.

Yes it will work, you need to confirm your HWID is 2586,check your garmindevice.xml
