It is imperative you check your HWID is the same as below

Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card into device and power on.
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
Your device may reboot its self during the process just be patient.
Your SD card will have a new file named 154.bin this is a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device later if needed,so keep a copy of it somewhere safe.

Your device will need to be Patched to use Unlocked maps
Check in your Garmin folder for garmindevice.xml open with Notepad and Find and confirm your HWID number

Hi, new to trying to put the firmware patcher on and getting quite confused, hoping for some help/guidance... I had seen in a previous post about the 2587 though it was the 600 version not the 620 (6.2). Tried the link before the unit was 6.2 (which was 6.0) but it just kept going to the uploader (mega.nz) homepage and not an actual file....or am going about this all wrong, thanks for any help in advance.
