Without HWID is very risk to damadge your device with a firmware not proper for your device.
HWID is mentioned in the GarminDevice.xml something like 006-B2087-00

Usally the Gupdate.gcd file is in a hidden directory named .system if it does not exist you may redownloaded with webupdater
