Hi, Some months ago I helped a guy with the same problem.
Solution:
Go to:
- Hidden Content
- This board requires you to be registered and logged-in to view hidden content.
- Choose Etrex 10 in left menu
- Then choose Troubleshooting in left menu
- On the page, under the heading Troubleshooting, go to 8th bullet and click on Forced Mass Storage Mode
- Then you get to a page Recovery and there is an explanation for both Forced USB Mass Storage Mode (first try) and Forced RGN Firmware Installation (escape when previous option does not help).
Perform exactly the steps as described, if necessary try several times.
