Please anyone can upload Mapinstall 4.0.4 patched?

I've lost that I had last years at my HDD, Kaspersky thought that it was Trojan.MSIL.Generic and deleted, can't bring back from quarantine (maybe it is virus, I had virus problems last summer).....

I want to use C:/Garmin folder for build my own map with Mapinstall, but only with patched can use that folder...

With original Mapistall I must use a USB with xml file inside Garmin folder to build map there, but it is little slow... I prefer to use my C:

Try to find patcher for BaceCamp and use it with original Mapinstall...

MapSource has been deprecated for over a decade now! :bs_quesexclaim: The MapInstall version [v3.14.X or earlier?, circa 2010] that was bundled with the final version of MapSource [v6.16.3, dated 10/25/2010] has been problematic and buggy with later maps releases since it's not current. Don't know if that's the cause of the street-name display issue--likely, but you should download, install and use the latest version of MapInstall [v4.2.4, dated 6/23/2022]:

FYI, note all the changes/updates to MapInstall since then, and good luck! :encouragement:

The problem/feature with older GPS units and the map versions newer than 2022.25 has been documented in numerous posts on this site and others. Though not officially confirmed by Garmin, it appears to be an effort to make obsolete the older units.

CNNANT 2023.20 works flawlessly with my oldest Garmin PNDs, two nuvi 200... :unknw_mini:

Not that I'm aware of... The official/unpatched versions have been able to successfully generate custom IMG map files and loading them onto all the devices for me. Frankly, I don't recall what additional functionality the patched versions provided, since the last time I used a patched version of MapInstall was v4.0.3 probably back in 2012. I prefer compatibility and compliance with the maps releases over unexpected glitchy operations which render any installation of latest maps release unusable and/or unreliable.

Thanks for the response. The patched version additionally allows you to save the completed gmapsupp.img to a hard drive instead of the slow transfer to the Garmin GPS.
