Garmin XT 5.52 (Garmin Asus M10) for WINCE 6 (800x480)

1.copy each folder to Storage Card
folder 1
folder Garmin
folder GPX
folder POI
folder SYSTEM
folder VEHICLE
folder VOICE

2. rename your map to GMAPPROM.IMG add map in SYSTEM folder

3. run path Storage Card > Garmin > garmin_full.exe

4. first run might take about 60 seconds

5. menu setting go to press right corner at ?
will go to page setting

6. set English by pressing ?

7. go to last tab [tab ten] press last tab will go to next page
this page chooses language

Followed your instructions, however no luck starting program. When i run garmin_full.exe, from Visual - Mio unlock/shell, a window appears behind "setting brightness" screen and device freezes. Can you please help.

Sorry Shane, but those instructions are not mine. I'm only posting what was available. My best advice is to play around with the different elements until successful. Perhaps you could post more explicit steps of what you did and someone out there could guide you with the steps they took in a successful installation instead of asking my advice. SORRY.

Perhaps you need to make a change in the .mscr [I think it's called] because your SD card is named something else: For example, could be SDCARD, SD CARD, STORAGECARD, STORAGE CARD, SDMMC, etc.

I have a Navman S200 with the following specification (WinCE 5, 480x272 screen resolution, 128MB SD-RAM). I have Visual - Mio unlock/shell v1.14 REV.01 installed and i am trying to install Garmin XT 5.52 onto micro SD card labelled "Storage Card". Steps i've followed so far.

1. Downloaded Garmin XT 5.52 for "Storage Card" from post #381 (link from post #1 was dead).
2. Copied folders to Storage Card
folder 1
folder Garmin
folder GPX
folder POI
folder SYSTEM
folder VEHICLE
folder VOICE
3. Downloaded Garmin City Navigator Australia and New Zealand NT 2013.40 image (unlocked) and renamed map to GMAPPROM.IMG. Placed map in SYSTEM folder
4. Set path to garmin_full.exe in Visual - Mio unlock/shell.
5. Run path Storage Card > Garmin > garmin_full.exe. Unit displays "Launching GPS application", a windows pop up in the background, then unit displays "setting display brightness" and freezes.

I noticed some files/folders provided from link in post #381 are in a different language (Garmin XT 5.52 may be wrong version for my device). Also checked "garmin_Full.mscr" and "set.mscr" files and noticed no path to "Storage Card". I haven't replaced GIR inside Garmin folder for 480x272 screen, as link from post #1 was dead. Can someone help me please to change paths to "Storage Card" in .mscr files and install Garmin XT 5.52 onto my device.

There appear to be [now 10] that have downloaded the package from my post above. 8 appear to have been successful with installing it. So I guess it works OK with the instructions. Also it would appear that you could change the language during the install.

I got it working on my wince6.0 800x480 device. but the system crashes from time to time.
I noticed some characters in .mscr but I'm not sure if that is what causing those crashes on my system.

Me neither. What happens if you delete them? Make a backup first before you try it - just in case.

Maybe you could post how you got it to work.

In mortscript, a # is like a rem statement or comment, anything after it on the same line is ignored.

It looks like the file has been corrupted.

it was working even with the corrupted .mscr but I'm experiencing random crashes.
back reading this thread I saw some posts about .mscr and changed mine accordingly
but still it crashes from time to time

Sorry, if it sounded like i was trying to offend you, that was NOT the case. I am a newbie and didn't know if corrupted .mscr was the issue.

Tried replacing corrupted .mscr with data in post #392 but still same end result, Garmin XT 5.52 fails to start. Do i need to replace "cardName" in .mscr files with "Storage Card"? Is it worth troubleshooting any further? I would really like to solve this issue with Garmin XT 5.52 not starting.
