Hello, I'm looking for version 6.18 of Garmin Express, but the link at the bottom points to the latest version on Garmin website.
Has anyone the 6.18 version of the software or know where I can find it?
I've searched the web but I get only newer versions.

Garmin Express versions 3.2.29 through 7.0 have problems with my computer's graphics drivers / capabilities. When I have the Intel driver installed, Garmin Express hangs on startup, crashes at startup, or sometimes *(joy!) hangs the computer on startup... When I revert to the Microsoft VGA driver (linear frame buffer generic driver - a least common denominator driver normally only used during the installation of Windows), it works flawlessly. The only problem is that many other things don't work well or even work at all (i.e. USB display devices...) - so using Garmin software to keep my Nuvi's up to date is painful!

Garmin Basecamp fails in the same way, however the workaround of "2D Only" is available there (and that works flawlessly).

Does anyone know a way to make Garmin Express not attempt to use any 3D acceleration features of a graphics driver?

Garmin support states there is no way (that they know of) to prevent Garmin Express from using these features.

That's a weird problem...no, I don't know of a 2D workaround

Are you using a laptop? If not, surely it would be better to fix the gfx on the system and add a discrete gfx card.

Regardless of the version, you must first install and run the garmin express software on your computer. If the system already has a higher version, it will notify you for the update. Once you approve the update, it will download and install the updated software.
