WinCE5 and WindowsMobile6 iGO/Primo emulators

Why not use the laptop as jps device? can't i use pc gps antena and connect it?

You can certainly try!
But many times, it is [color="red"]not that simple[/color] since these emulators run in a "virtual bubble", and you would probably need to make some modifications to various settings, ports, drivers, etc in order to get any external GPS hardware detected and used correctly. Before making any purchases, it would be wise to research the particular device to find out the recommendations to make it work with any PC software. In some cases, the time, effort, and money spent may exceed the cost of a mid-range dedicated GPS unit with a nice 5 inch or 7 inch screen.

Replying to my own question, I can report that the connection was as simple as 1-2-3. In the emulators top menu, there is an entry configuration in the file menu. In the configuration, select connections. Here you can map the host's (i.e. the PC's) COM ports to the serial ports of the simulated PDA. You'll know what port your GPS is attached to, enter that in the emulator settings, and you are in business. Nicely done.
