iGo Primo 2.4 Build 9.6.13.267029 (November 2012)

Requirements:
GPS device with WinCE 5.x or 6.x
Minimum 64MB Ram--128MB recommended for all features and seamless operation.

Question: Should I upgrade from Primo2 ?
Answer: If you already have a fully working Primo2 9.6.5 distribution, you would not notice a world of difference by replacing it with this newer version. A few buttons and menu options have been relocated, some people report faster calculations (routing, etc), and some say there is little/no difference in performance at all. In fact, [b]some say it does not work as well, nor is it as compatible with add-ons as Primo 2.0 9.6.5.xxx.
Upgrade at your own risk or peril. There may be no logical reason to.

Note that all map/voice related content that works in Primo 2 will also work in this version Primo 2.4. One major exception is Skins...previous skins not specifically designed for Primo 2.4 will NOT work without some modification. Better to use one of the two skins included in the download.

b]1)[/b] If you get some kind of error when exiting Primo (but everything else seems to work OK), try decreasing the number of LICENSES in {Primo2}\license\*.LYC to only what you may actually need.
Many extra license files may have been included to cover as many circumstances as possible, and too many for map and other content that does not actually exist can cause an exit fault.
For instance, if you do not live in a region such as Aus\NZ\RU, you will not need any licenses for that area (as shown in the file name).
A suggestion would be to remove license files only one or two at a time until the shutdown error goes away (but all your content is still valid). If you remove a license and all of a sudden your maps are listed as invalid in Help>About>More>Content, put that file back.

2) The add-on POI pack for 800x480 resolution appears to have some compatibility issues with Primo 2.4. It is recommended not to use it at this time to avoid errors with POI display.
2a) For those having trouble with the 480x272 POI Pack, try the below link. Replace everything in the ui_igo9 folder on your device with the extracted (unrar on your PC) download. It is a very slightly modified version with some little used POIs removed, and a few added.

3) Both skins included are 'first release' and may have individual issues under some situations. Be on the lookout for new revisions of the Skins as each update can solve issues discovered.

So I'm having trouble getting it to fit my resolution. My resolution on my device is 800X480. When I go into the SYS.TXT and change the resolution for the raw display, the black loading screen uses the whole display but the actual program still only uses a small portion of it. When I go into the SYS.TXT and change the interface's resolution, I get an error saying something along the lines of "error: ui_iGo8 "800_480" loading .bmp exiting application." I went into the zipped file in another window to check and see if the data.zip contained a 800_480 resolution folder, and it does. Can anyone help me out with this? Thank you!

Need some help..downloaded this torrent and used it in my generic china Head unit using Windows CE platform..followed ths instructions as well included..the only problem is that I can't get any sinal or can't find satellites when I run my this..Please need help about this one..thank you

I think because this Primo is a bit old (2013) and newer is available. Though not necessarily better, I must add.
