igo freezes its loading at power up.

I have a chinese device with iGo Primo 9.6.13.405512 June 18 2014... NNG Kit assume Tempo Australia and NZ as I live in Melbourne.
The device is fine on a mains USB charger..
When I power the device from my accessories socket in the car - very often on starting the care the unit freezes in the IGO loading process. I have tried and fitted 12v inline filters and a time delay relay system so that the power is applied 10 seconds after the engine has started. The resolution is to hold the power button down, select power down and power up again and it loads ok.. Seems that when the device switches itself off when it detects the accessory power going, its left in a curious state which on restart fails the software load.

thoughts welcome

The sys.txt file has the device as Delco_QX-BH751T if that helps

Some things come to mind

1. Is the device of the brand "DELCO"?
If not the lines are useless. Further more, if data.zip/config/devices does not contain such .ini file, the lines are useless.
When the lines are useless, it may cause strange behavior.

2. I don't have a WinCE device anymore. I had one running 405512 and do remember having in settings some power behavior settings for how to handle when destination was reached, power was cut off, etc. It could be part of a skin as well.
So go over settings.

3. Navitotal IGO subforum has a tutorial section. One of the subjects is sys.txt, which may or may not be complete.
Go there and search for [power] entries, esp. powermgm settings. Try some variables like =0, =1, =2, etc.

4. it might be a device (brand) specific issue

Big thanks for the response .. will check through the points.
Bought the device online $120. when it came seemed to be devoid of who made it and no logo on it either. So can only go by what is its files .

thanks again
