iGO 8.3.1.53228 & Mio C710

Hello Everyone,

I have an old Mio C710 what I use as my main navigation device (if it works, use it).

I was just wondering, the version of iGO that I'm using is iGO 8.3.1.53228

1: is there any improvement if I would update to a different version of iGO?
2: are there any "newer" versions of iGO that are compatible with the old Mio C710? advice?

I just update the MAPS and POIs once in a while and it brings me to the destinations.

8.3.1.53228? That is a true oldie
If I am correct, it's a multimedia version, right? Anyways, if you are satisfied with it and it still works, you can keep it. Or you can upgrade, but newer isn't always better. Newer builds offer 3D views, traffic alerts (with HERE maps) and truck/motorhome routing. 3D eats memory,, and when you don't drive a truck and keep your eyes on the road , ... well, you can fill in.
Chas521 is the reall expert on Mio devices, he can guide you better.

I guess that I can safely assume that your Mio is already unlocked. Just put this program on your SD card. It should work out of the box.

Yes the C710 is "unlocked" it "boots" from SD card. Works fine!

I do not need 3D buildings or the PhoneMe options. just the the streets, junctions and directions.
Eyes on the road, the C710 is still good enough for me...

I have IGO8 Version 8.3.4.117940 on my Mio C710. Works, but crashes once and again.
