Porsche Cayenne GPS

Wed Dec 07, 2011 2:00 pm

Hi, anyone has any idea on how to add GPS to a Porsche Cayenne? It has PCM and all, but i'm unsure of how to install the Malaysia Map.

I believe the software is Navteg. Not sure what it means at all. Is it possible to change from Navteg to Garmin or something like that? And if not, where can I get the software? Any help would be appreciated. :)

Navteq is a map provider, not a software provider, Garmin software - amongst others - uses Navteq maps.
So what software are you running? Isn't it a Porsche inbuild GPS then?

Yup. It is all original Porsche's hardware, but I can't find the navigation CD for it. I can't just pop in a Garmin CD (if they have one) for it right?

The Porsche's inbuilt GPS is asking to insert the CD for Navigation... Any solutions? :)

Also, the Car Is Cayenne Turbo S Exactly like the one in the video. So No Touch screen.

This is a PCM2.1, Call Porsche Distributor in your city to get the map, it is not so expensive, if you can buy such a ride.

Another solution is install an external GPS module.

Well, that's what I did @ first. No Joy.

They asked me to contact HQ for the disc, and I contacted HQ, they asked to go to distributor. Went back to distributor, said he doesn't carry Malaysia Navigation disc's. =.=
