carollil wrote:i just downloaded the voiceEn, do i put the folder name VoiceEN in Sounds folder, or do I put all the files in the VoiceEn folder into Sounds, and I cant find download for R21, i can see in maps there is a file name R21_NAVNET_SSC.hdr is it this one? I donwloaded MFM map, and there is alot of R21 in there, so I pasted that into my Navi/Maps folder

i tried running my PNA again, same problem still, could it be because I have not got the proper map R21? how do i check

Move the "R21_NAVNET_SSC.hdr" into the maps/MFM folder should do the trick.

If you're using MFM Maps, please delete inside maps folder file (R21_NAVNET_SSC.hdr), it should be (R21_MFM_SSC.hdr)......

when you installing the MFM that you download, it will ask you to choose what's papago version that you needed right! did you choose the correct version??
It should choose (M3GPS Papago X3/X5), But is not choosing (Eastgear Papago X3) or (Papago X5 andriod).....

It shows KL instead of Port Klang because the GPS signal is not captured by your set. When the map starts it shows KL by default and only when your GPS signal is activated, it will then homed into your actual location. When you format your SD Card, you could have removed along with it the correct com and baud rate exe file. Just copy the happy papago.exe from here that matches your GPS set will make your GPS set working again.

hmm the one i downloaded is from post#69 , i am not sure which is that one. but prob is, even before i use this version, my old one that i accidently delete off was also off with the current position detection, but before that happened, it can detect my current position properly.

I will go take this PNA outside and try see if it is better.

edit: woh yeah, when i turn on the gps, it does say welccome to m3gps. so it is m3g, how do i check if it matches my gps set or not?

The one from post#69 is a generic one. You have to change the com and baud rate of the papago.exe file which you downloaded from post#69 to match with your own set of com and baud rate. No doubt your papago can now switch on but if the com/baud doesn't match then it won't capture the satellite signal. That's why it shows the KL location instead of your own location.

How to check it matches your GPS or not? Leave your papago on for a few minutes...you will hear a voice "checking for GPS signal". When your com/baud matches you will hear "satellite search complete". Immediately the map will show your own location instead of KL. If you have iGo installed in your GPS set you can check your com/baud rate from there or you can use the software mentioned by Nagas on top.

Hi Carollil,
Please use small soft here:http://www.navitotal.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1327&d=1283678932 to detect your device com and baud.

I download and use that, and i turn it on, and click detect, it says Search for GPS on port 16. I dont understand what that means and what should I do, how to find baud and com with that port 16.

It should say port:...and speed....

Mon Sep 20, 2010 2:28 pm

i am going to download ultraedit now so i can change the com and baud, found the port and speed by launching the application on my pna, but i am not really sure what is the step to change the baud and com, I am pretty confused as what I should be searching for and editting which part out..

my pna port is 1 and speed is 1200
