Postby peters » Mon May 24, 2010 7:59 am

in my unit ( Chinese made ce6 ) contain 2 map folder , one called Base contain 19.3 Mb , another one call Maps it also contain 134 Mb.of R51 MAP format , these files came together with Bro. Ian package , first run it shown only base map , after I put another map folder (Thai) in the Map folder , it switched from Base to Thai , think that you have to keep all files in the map folder.

Hi, I have tried by retaining original map files in /Base and /Maps and copied new MFM foder containing 100415 map files into /Maps. Results is Negative. Cannot work.

Hi,

For temporarily usage, I think can replace all files inside /base and copy the MFM 100415 R21 map files into /base folder. I have deleted all map files inside /Maps folder.

I have attached the pictures.

Pic 1: The R21 map.

206

Pic 2: The Papago X6 menu showing the R21 map instead of base map

204

Pic 3: Selected 3D Landmark Guide - How to use? Maybe M3 spy can teach.

205

But this is just temporarily because X6 suppose to run on R51 maps. Hope you guys can find a solution.
Next : To test the Navigation.

Update: Sad news, the map shifted by almost 1 km and direction also changed around 90 degrees to the west. Back to the drawing board....

Hi gpsforever,

I have same problem when using R21_....maps. Shifting coordinate posotion.
Need info from bro peters about his experience when using Thai maps ( R51_.....)

Are you test it for navigation?

Thanks,
Ian

Hi, Ian,

I can't navigate because the map location is all wrong, if navigate, have to cut through buildings, fields and even river (famous Klang river in Malaysia). POI search and Road search no problem.

Are the files in X6R6600 HK same? Can we patch the files to M3GPS to test?

Now, I will try patch the Thai header into MFM maps.

Regards,
gpsforever

Update: With Thai map header - still Negative.

I think it's unlikely the map header problem.
I heard Falome and Goozee papago (Papago software developed for third party) encountered same coordinate problem also when they put the whole program into CHINA PNA, I think m3gps used the same method also on X6.

Yes,

It's not come from map file. I have been check ultra edit and X6 use map file R21_.... ( not android R51_...).
If this X6 run on R6600 do not have mis-match coordinate problem, maybe come from *.dll that different with common *.dll on generic gps.
I have been test on Chinese GPS CE5 and CE6 also MioC320-CE5 but still have same problem.---->suspect on (coredll.dll) from R6600/R5800 different with generic gps.
From IDA pro, import file only CNavi.dll,CBSDKTool.dll,libGLESS_CM.dll,mmtimer.dll and coredll.dll------> all .dll already on SDCard but only coredll.dll that keep on WinCE (system).
Maybe someone have coredll.dll from original R5800/R6600 please share.
Another way is modify on papago.exe but need analyse more..using IDA--->wait master on IDA pro...

Thanks,
Ian

Thanks,
Ian

Bro Peters, able to share the coredll.dll file in your device?

There is also the small problem of cannot exit from the program. Anyone got a solution to this?

Hi sharp,

You can exit completely by tap video icon but you must change MediaPlayer.exe using this file : [Please Register or Login to download file] For EXIT.rar

Thanks,
Ian
