i hear that x8 is lock to the device it self, wrong install will couse the unit unable to start

Try rename the (Start.exe to MobileNavigator.exe) and Rename the (NT_C1.exe to Navi.exe) then delete inside safe folder and run the program using Navi.exe again!

I download contents & (Malaysia_X8_Map) & Com1 from the first thread, copy to internal memory, start NT_C1.exe and it run.
Able to lock signal and road test of approx 10 minutes, seems everything OK except traffic light shown star.
My unit Wince 6, 128M RAM, 4GB memory, don't know how to check Sirf or others.

tsycc thanks for the feedback, at least we know that it works for some device such WinCE 6.0 SIRF - 128 mb and WinCE 5.0 MTK - 128mb

anyone has tested it, please give your feedback ...

You cannot use Mfm Free maps from MfM site.......you need to download the maps from first post!
you run start.exe for program or NT_Cx.exe to start program?
Try to do this way:

  • Main program folder named ( MobileNavigator)
  • Delete inside save folder files.
  • Rename Start.exe to MobileNavigator.exe
  • Rename the NT_Cx.exe to Navi.exe
  • Run program using Navi.exe

I Have test with gps MTK Wince 6 and 128MB running well.
Using Start.exe but NT_1.exe I have rename to be NT.exe (without _1).

Map using original come from device.

Not click on start.exe to run program........
after you downloaded the happyfile is called (NT_Cx.exe) right! then rename it to Navi.exe.
  • And rename the start.exe to Mobilenavigator.exe
  • Then delede inside save folder files (if inside got files)
  • Delete Click05.wav files inside Sounds folder (If got Click05.wav)
  • Click Navi.exe to run program.

Tested Works great on :-
1. MTK WinCE 5.0 - 128MB RAM
2. Sirf Atlas-V WinCE 6.0 - 128MB RAM

Encounter error on second start (without power off device) - low program memory.
3. Sirf Atlas-IV WinCE 6.0 - 64MB Ram

The POI file is different with previous version, rename don't work, how to convert it?
X8 - PaPaGOPOI.DAT
X3,X5,X7 - PPGPOI17.DAT
