Help - Fujistu Ten (FW602US) sd card/maps

Mon Oct 21, 2013 6:28 pm

So after spending a solid 12hrs brwosing/reading and scouring the net, I still have not found any useful information pertaining to the ability to safely update the maps that come with the Subaru 3rd party HU supplier: Fujitsu Ten.

I have just acquired the unit to install in my non-navigation unit and wanted to get more information about the possibility to update to the latest maps for this unit. Subaru is useless in that regards. The map supplier seems to be Navteq. The unit comes with a 4GB SDHC Class 4 card that indicates 201Q3 maps on it... and we are in 2013! Sigh...

I've managed to download the proprietary "toolbox" software sucessfully only to see it cannot read my card content. Tried directly through a SD card reader on my laptop and external card reader via my desktop. Even used the Subaru skin version of the toolbox (v 3.14) same thing.
However I am able to explore the SDcard files structure just fine.

With all that being said I was curious if there was anyone that may have some tips/links that may help me in my endavour to update this aging SDcard and use newer maps. I would appreciate any information or directions as to where to go to advance on my quest ;)

THanks for reading!

Cheers

If the software is original then updating maps from here is not possible, you will have to swap the whole lot for a cracked version.

But if that's already the case then just replace the .fbl files in the content\map and the .poi files in the content\poi folders with updated files
