RAC 200 Firmware needed

Thu Jun 13, 2013 5:53 pm

I have an RAC 200 with a blank screen (just black). Device connects via Active Sync OK and clicks can be heard indicating the touch screen is working.

I think I may need to reflash the firmware or something? I don't have the original CD which I believe may have had the files on it - can anyone help?

If you can connect via ActiveSync then WindowsCE is working, could you have edited something causing the navigation app to not work?

Thanks, a backup of the cd would be useful.

I have sorted the black screen (there was a short between a flexi circuit and the back of the display) but i think the unit still needs re-flashing as it has a tendency to flip the display after a few seconds so that all the writing is back to front!

I'm sure the RAC used Route 66, the main executable i think was R66Navigate7.exe, from memory software like iGO8 or Tomtom worked.

I would suggest the screen cable is still not connected properly, the screen flipping wouldn't be caused by a faulty ROM install.
