Forget Turbodog, You have a choice of software available from this site, Tomtom, iGO Primo, Garmin etc, To get them working rename the application folder to MobileNavigator and the executable to MobileNavigator.exe and place on the device, If you done it right then it will start when you tap navigation.

There will be other things to do to get it working so don't rush on ahead...

Wait for a satellite lock, only then you will see where you are.

Auto detecting GPS means the GPS settings are wrong, Open sys.txt in the Primo directory and change the GPS settings to Com 7 and Baud 57600, These are the settings for most "MobileNavigator" type devices, When the settings are correct it will say something like "Looking for satellites..." instead.

what part to i change to MobileNavigator?

Tue Mar 15, 2011 8:46 pm

Yeah the new MobileNavigator folder sorry, In there is a file called sys.txt, Open this with notepad on your PC and make the edits.

Should look like this...

[gps]
Port=7
Baud=57600

Leave everything else alone unless told otherwise.

If it still says Autodetecting GPS receiver then try other COM ports, Popular ones are 2 and 4 (They usually go from 1 - 9)

It can take up to 30 minutes to get an accurate lock the first time you start the software, Ideally you need to be outside and not moving.

First thing you need to do is to make a backup of the MobileNavigator folder just in case something goes wrong.

This thread explains most of the extra features of iGO Primo. Install only one at a time and test in-between for best results, The more you install the longer iGO takes to start up.

Speedcams will be in this sub-forum, After installing speedcams iGO will take 5-30 seconds longer to start up while it creates the camera database, This only happens once.

Enjoy your device :)
