2. How to use that software in India?
3. How to download maps for India?
4. If that software is not working here, can we get another software and use that device here in india?

Since you are only interested in India I suggest to start your search in a local forum there to find out what map providers are good.
In general Igo, Primo and some other program will work fine on your device, Garmin I can't recommend.
If your specific area is not covered by normal digital road maps you install OziExplorer and use raster maps, they won't give you routing instructions but you'll know where you are.
Also do a check of the map sections in the forum to see if you find maps or user comments for maps in India ;)

There are no India maps for iGO/Primo. At least, I have never seen them.
So when there are no maps ... :(

Sorry, but that's wrong my friend. I uploaded India maps for iGO a short while ago.

Sorry, I stand corrected.

I must have overlooked that post. Possibly I read by mistake Columbia (like some posts higher) twice or something.

No problem. I've done it more times than I should have myself.
