Sorry but just found a problem , i switch between Tomtom and memory map while out and about, i thought i would try Tomtom and it worked, i did have to configure the gps , i then switched back to memory map and it lost the com port again it seems as though TomTom and mem map are using the com 7 but there is a conflict

You cannot use both applications at the same time, You may need to reboot between applications to release the COM port

Just to confirm the script works, use CEregeditor and check the change is being made correctly, look for out of place entries

Just checked and it is changing to com 7 in reg editor , the problem i have is when i switch the device to run TOMTOM i have to reconfigre TOMTOM gps to work as it uses com 7 but it is called GloNav ,that is no problem as i can do it through the device , i then switch the device back to mem map it reverts back to com 6 which i cant alter on the device only through the pc , which i then have to re insert the zip file you sent me into the folder and start from scratch

Ahhh, leave the files i sent you permanently there so the fix is applied everytime Memory Map is started.

The idea is to change the registry before Memory Map starts so it doesn't matter if it reverts back to default.

The device runs MMPocketNavCE, Which is the fix i supplied, which changes the registry and starts MMPocketNavCE2, Which is Memory Map.

Just run MMPocketNavCE, as you did before and ignore the fact the icon has changed, You don't need to run MMPocketNavCE2 at all.
