To stop iGO from suspending the device on loss of power, Open sys.txt with Notepad on your PC, Find the [interface] section and add the line...

shutdown_time=0

I haven't played with a G500 yet but all the Binatones i've seen are generic "MobileNavigator" type devices, I would research the device before purchase to see what the specs are.

the specs are the same as the 430 range. so mite try a chines when i get some cash together. by the way turbo dog still not starting but i never use it so thats ok.

Yes the sys.txt in the iGO folder, You may need to turn off "hide extensions for known file types" in your PC's folder settings, Open it with Notepad and make the change.

Copy the file to your desktop, Make the edit and then copy it back. If iGO is on a SD card then use a card reader to edit files as it's easier and faster.

WMDC (Vista and 7) makes it look like you are executing/opening/editing the file on a WinCE/Mobile device but in reality it copies it to a temporary folder on your PC and uses it from there, Activesync (XP and below) just brought up a properties window, You would not believe how many people get caught out with this.
