Does AutoActivate show any error messages like no meta.txt or ttgo.bif not found?

no ,it runs fine , all the way through to the " hit any key " message , is it worth trying to load another map rather than this one , to see if that works ?

"This is not the correct activation code for this map" means the map hasn't been patched properly.

Let's start from the beginning...

Download United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_865_3262
Download AutoActivate from this thread.

Delete the map folder and Auto/FastActivate.exe from your SD card.

Extract the map folder and AutoActivate. (Password: navitotal)

Copy both the map folder and AutoActivate to your SD card using a card reader.

It should look like this...

\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_865_3262\CLINE.DAT, CNAME.DAT etc
\AutoActivate.exe

Not...

\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_865_3262\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_865_3262\CLINE.DAT, CNAME.DAT etc
\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_865_3262\AutoActivate.exe

Run AutoActivate.exe on your PC, You must have an active internet connection!

Possible problems...

You say you're using navcore 7.910, I've not had much success with this navcore, 7.450 is more stable.
Incorrectly set-up mapshare can cause problems, Is there a ttgo.bif in the root of the SD card

If the map is patched correctly there will be a newly created United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-309.meta.dct file in the map folder.

Comfirm there is a ...meta.dct file (there is a .meta already)

[Please Register or Login to download file]
Passwords: navitotal

Delete everything to do with Tomtom off your SD card.
Copy the navigator folder from the above archive onto your SD card.
Place SD card into device and start Tomtom
It will say "no maps" in french
Turn off device and put SD card into card reader on PC
Copy map folder and AutoActivate.exe to your SD card
Run AutoActivate.exe
Place SD card into device and start Tomtom again
Language setting is on preferences page 6 with a icon of some flags
GPS settings are Other NMEA Receiver, Baud 57600, Com:7
Tomtom will crash as soon as it gets a satellite lock, Just restart and it will be fine.
