dear fbf,

i have downloaded R3 Europe Navteq 2011.Q4 from your list of downloads..the size is 1.80 gb...it has maps and poi in it...i am copying it into my sd card...

hopefully i will get an instruction on how to get primo to read the maps and poi from the SD card soon....

You do realize that you don't have to put ALL the maps from any particular collection on your device, right?
Only the map files you need or will use.

I will remove the maps i dont need or use....

Now the question is how do i get the device to read maps from the sd card..

Move the entire content folder to the sd card and add these lines to the sys.txt

[folders]
content="\Storage Card\Content"

*Note: The device might call Storage Card something else like SDMMC

Then put the maps in content\maps

finally..copied over only uk maps in internal mem...maps are working fine now...thanks pls..

will try sd card now....

Also, in case you are not aware of this already, using non-custom Becker software on a Becker device, may result in some minor functionality reductions.
Such as any hardware buttons on the unit for "Back" or "Volume" may not work. Use the software buttons for same within Primo instead.

Also primo will only read maps from one location only, either internal memory OR sd card NOT BOTH!

Thanks for the help guys..i ahve copied over uk map into folder and kept only that..problem solved...device not reading from sd card even after changing the sys file and copying the content folder in there..

but i have got enough space now in internal mem to copy whatever maps i need to use...

Possible reasons...

1, There is already a [folders] section in sys.txt, so you now have two [folders] sections
2, You have the same content in the internal memory, so you can't tell where the maps are loading from
3, The device calls Storage Card something else, so the path \Storage Card\Content doesn't exist
4, You only moved the maps, not the whole folder, voices, skins and all
