theres no harm in trying it
anytime when i used mine i never left it in the car overnite
cos it either get damp as fbf said also they are thieving so and so's

Thanks will give it a try and report back results tomorrow. Because just read reports of incompatible issues with ipod touch 4th gen and the original car kit because for some reason it cant detect the gps. But mine was ok on the return trip

The damp issue worked a treat. Left it inside near a rediator for heat and when i used it the following moring in the cold worked first time. Will always leave the car kit indoors now.
