No Sound (at all) on iGo Primo 1.2

Postby furat52 » Wed Nov 28, 2012 1:28 pm

Many thanks Fatboyfun for your time, I cannot play mp3 exept through one of the available sources, cd/dvd or usb, I don't think it can be modofied, may be if there is 3rd party player which can be installed do the job, please name one and where can I get it if possible.

one more thing, when selecting the usb (only usb) as audio source (provided that there is a usb stick inserted) whether it is playing mp3 files or not, the navigation sound is OK, in such case I cannot switch to radio or dvd because if I do so the sound of the navigation will be gone agaian.

That's the problem with these devices, you need programmes that can control the devices sound mixer.

None of the iGO versions available to us have this feature.

If you played a silent mp3 from the USB stick, you could hear the sound from iGO, so unless someone can disassemble the original software and extract the code to control the mixer, then build a small app to switch between wince sound and the radio/CD etc, there's not a lot that can be done.

Ya, dudes... :) There is problem with soundcard output selection by executable file (navigation.exe / igo.exe). These non-original executable files don't support the soundcard-mixer in Clarion devices. We shall be needing someone patch and/or trick - how to change standard audio output in navigation.exe process :-( Non-original navigation.exe uses standard audio output represent as USB/MP3 player audio output :-( , and not the system default audio output (what is permanently hearable).

This has worked before. However, cannot guarantee success. Download a cracked version of the igo program that is the same real program currently on your device. Delete the .exe, license folder and the save folder from the real program. From the cracked program download, copy and paste the .exe and the license folder to the real program. Completely shutdown the device, wait a few seconds and re-start.

First, make sure you backup the real program before delete, copy/paste.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

Besides that, try the original data.zip together with the cracked software, preferable the same Build number, at least the same version (1.2) as the original software. It often helps.
