I am sure Primo 1.0 (and 1.1 probably as well) works on CE4.20. Since v1.2 is originally taken from a new device, it's possible v1.2 isn't compatible with CE4.20 anymore. This I am not sure about.

murty wrote:A bit of an update. If i run a custom launcher to be able to boot up and view control panel in Wince 4.2 i cannot play any sounds in the sound tester. The processor type is Samsung/ ARM-ARM920. Is there any way of fixing this?

Another stupid question of mine: can you determine you have sound? That it is not the device that is broken?

Primo 1.0 and 1.1 works 100% on WinCE4.2, I speak from experience, I will try 1.2 later.

Maybe I am getting old (no, that is a fact!) but I suddenly remember something.

Primo 1.0 has like the Becker-iGO a soundcompressor. To activate it, this lines should be in sys.txt:

[dynamiccompressor]
compressor=1; 0=off
a0=56806
thrs=24703
ratio=6; bigger n° = louder
gain=12

I see no reason why Primo 1.2 should differ.
At the same time, why should this be the solution? You should hear sound with the compressor off, but not that loud.

I couldn't find a 480X234 Resolution that would work with iGO 8.

Thanks :)

Primo V1.2 confirmed working on WinCE 4.2.

Wouldn't this be independent of WinCE?

Double check the WinCE Volume and sounds control panel applet that the sound is turned up and all the check boxes are ticked, Especially the Applications option.

Hey bud, i checked it a while back via a custom loader to access windows CE, i wasn't getting any sound out of it, but someone replied earlier in this thread and said it might be because the satnav loads up a driver when loading. I have looked through the whole directory on iGO 6 (original program that came with the program) and i couldn't find anything on it.

If you use the custom loader to boot to Windows CE and then start the original (iGO6) programme manually does the sound work?

A bit of an update, inside of my computer on Wince, there is a:

\Residentflash

This contains what ever is inside of the Navigation Folder on the SDCARD.

\residentflash2

Inside of this, there is a folder called Shell and it has, AVoverlay (this brings up when the next track plays on my cd player /radio info etc etc), next is Navigrecive, this appears to control the Satnav somehow. Im going to rip a copy and try and break it to get info. The last one is called Update map, im guessing if there is a change on the SD card this is the command which tells it to update and copy over the contents inside of /Navigation folder.

This isn't the same model as mine. But intresting as they are near enough the same.

It appears that my Satnav runs through a program called Navigrecive, if this program is played around with. The only way of making this work is if i can tell iGo to route sound through it, or somehow try and remove the Navigrecive and let windows take control of the audio, but then this means i will have no sound from the radio / cd player etc etc. I'm kinda stuck at the moment!

You don't have to. That res is already included in my iGO 8.3 upload.

Even from the non-TTS voices? When you select a voice in settings/regional, do you hear a greeting?

Wow. This is strange. No one has ever said/posted that there was no sound from my upload. I guess there's a first at sometime though. Silly question: Is there a mute button and could you have accidentally pushed it?

Did you have to use an unlock to view the cracked program? If so, where did you get it?
